Ford's electric cars will share charging ports with Tesla

Equipped with Tesla's NACS charging port, in the future, Ford electric car models will be able to use all Supercharger fast charging posts without the need for an adapter.

The announcement was made during an online event on Twitter Spaces, with Ford CEO Jim Farley and Tesla CEO Elon Musk present.

It seems that in the future, Ford electric cars will have two charging ports, as Mr. Farley confirmed that the vehicles will still be able to use Ford charging posts.

Tesla's NACS charging port standard has been used in the US and Canada since the launch of the Tesla Model S. This charging port can be used for both household charging systems as well as Tesla Supercharger fast charging posts or other fast charging points via an adapter.
