A south Florida businessman is stepping into the insurance agency with the launch of Anderson Insurance Solutions, based in Coral Springs.
Matthew E. Anderson, a licensed agent for life, health and property-casualty lines, said his agency will offer life, health, and, by the end of the year, homeowners’ insurance, through the independent agency.
He said last week that it’s too soon to say which property insurance carriers he may be appointed with.
Anderson has an extensive background in business development, corporate growth and pa
rtnerships in New York. He has been appointed with life insurance companies since 2024, the Florida Department of Financial Services records show.
“Before starting this agency, my time in business development and partnerships shaped how I work with clients today, focusing on making complex deci
sions feel simple and ensuring families and businesses feel well-informed when protecting their futures,” he said in a news release.
Anderson said he was ready to step away from the corporate world and come back to Florida.
“Florida is home, and given how unique the Insurance market is here, I saw an opportunity to be a trusted and guided resource for individuals, families, and businesses,” he said.

“We cannot take on the housing crisis without confronting one of the fastest-growing costs facing New Yorkers: insurance. That’s why we’re creating the first city-backed insurance program — to help New Yorkers stay in their homes,
give building owners the support they need to make repairs, and build a city that New Yorkers can actually afford,” said Mayor Mamdani in April.
Mamdani said rising insurance costs are draining resources from the affordable housing sector and
lowering them will help ensure that more money goes to repairs, maintenance and improvements for tenants. “When private markets fail to deliver, government has a responsibility to step in,” he sad.
Illinois-based Pinnacle is a well-known full-service firm providing actuarial, enterprise risk management and general management services in the property/casualty insurance field.
Through the RFEI, the city hopes to attract submissions from a range of industry participants, including insurance brokers, captive managers, insurance carri
ers and reinsurers, third-party administrators, actuarial and risk advisory firms and other entities capable of operating at this scale. The city also welcomes joint ventures and proposals that leverage existing vehicles or facilities.
The RFEI was developed in partnership with the Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) and the New York City Housing Development Corp
oration (HDC). Responses will undergo a phased evaluation process coordinated by the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC), HPD and HDC.
