Market experts believe that the reason the iPhone 17 Pro Max's price remains unchanged stems from supply and demand dynamics and manufacturer policies. While the supply of iPhone 17 Pro Max on the market is moderate, inventory levels are relatively low. This prevents retailers from being pressured to lower prices to recover capital. Furthermore, Apple has not yet implemented a discount program for its distribution partners, and the device's price is likely to increase due to limited supply.
But now, the iPhone 17 Pro Max has started to see price reductions at major Vietnamese retailers, although the discounts only range from 1 to 1.5 million VND. Specifically, according to our reporter's survey, the 256GB version of the iPhone 17 Pro Max is currently being offered at around 37 million VND, a decrease of 1 million VND compared to before. A larger discount of 1.5 million VND applies to the 512GB version, bringing the price down to 43 million VND.
Notably, this price adjustment is not due to Apple's policy but primarily a self-adjustment by retail systems based on supply and demand. It's known that the second quarter is typically a low point for the market, so it's not surprising that retailers proactively lower prices to stimulate sales.
