Independent personal lines agency Goosehead Insurance and newly launched Planet Insurance Agency said they have a strategic franchise partnership for customers shopping for homeowners insurance.
Meriden, Connecticut-based Planet Insurance Agency was launched last month through Planet Financial Group.
Through the partnership, Planet customers who are preparing to close on a home or reviewing their insurance protection can connect with licensed insurance agents
who guide them through coverage options. Customers can compare policy options from more than 200 carriers relationships and review coverage and pricing terms.
“This partnership is about easing the homeownership journey,” said Planet Insurance Senior Vic
e President Ken Quantie. “With Goosehead, our customers have an option for expert guidance, m
ore coverage choices and a smoother path to the coverage they need to protect their investment.”
The duo said the partnership is designed to make insurance easier at closing and beyond. It helps b
uyers address coverage considerations earlier in the process, find the best value, and provide a simple way to revisit options over time. Th
e collaboration also supports real estate agents, builders and Planet teams by helping keep timelines on track while delivering a smooth customer experience.
“Teslas driven with FSD are involved in far fewer accidents,” Wininger added. “By connecting to th
e Tesla onboard computer, our models are able to ingest incredibly nuanced sensor data that lets us price our insurance with higher precision than ever before.”

Lemonade said it can cover intermittent use of FSD, as well as households with a mix of Teslas and standard vehicles, all under one policy.
The New York-based insurer of car, home, renters and pet insurance said the autonomous car product will first be rolled out in Arizona on January 26. Oregon will follow a month later, said Lemonade.
