Bu posted an image of a metal part belonging to the iPhone 17 Pro Max. Accord

MacRumors believes that this photo was likely taken on an assembly line. The image shows “CNC aluminum or titanium chassis compo
nents” for the phone. This means that these parts may have been manufactured usin
g CNC (Computer Numerical Control) methods. If so, these structural components are ready for further processing.

On the other hand, AppleInsider said that these panels can be used to produce iPhone cases, not components of the iPhone 17 Pro Max.
