Smartphone with 8,000 mAh battery coming soon?

The battery technology race is heating up as smartphone brands are constantly testing large capacity batteries, up to 8,000 mAh.

As smartphones become more and more central to our daily lives, the demand for battery life is also increasing. To meet this demand, phone manufacturers are constantly improving battery technology on their devices. Recently, a leak said that an extremely large capacity 8,000 mAh battery is about to be launched, causing many people to wonder which brand will take the lead in introducing products equipped with this technology?

Realme, one of the pioneers in battery technology research and development, has impressed with the 7,000 mAh battery on the Neo7 model. This is the result of the collaboration between Realme and CATL, creating a Titan battery with a density of up to 800Wh/L.

Not only improving capacity, Realme also achieved significant achievements in usage time and charging speed. According to the latest survey, Realme is considering battery solutions for the next generation of high-end phones, including 8,000 mAh batteries with 80W fast charging. This shows that Realme is likely to become one of the first manufacturers to launch phones with 8,000 mAh batteries.

No less competitive, OPPO and OnePlus are also developing large battery solutions. Since August, there have been reports that OPPO is researching a 7,000 mAh battery. Recently, OPPO's lab has introduced a new high-density silicon-carbon battery with a capacity of about 7,700 mAh. If this plan comes true, OPPO products will be equipped with this super large battery next year, bringing impressive usage time to users.

Xiaomi is also not left out of this race. The company is testing a single 7,500 mAh battery with a thickness of less than 9 mm. However, due to the temperature issue, Xiaomi may have to compromise between battery capacity and fast charging. The company is expected to combine a 7,000 mAh battery with 100W fast charging in the Redmi K80 Ultra or Redmi Turbo 4 Pro models.

Meanwhile, HONOR is developing a 7,800 mAh battery and plans to equip its smartphones by 2025, giving them a strong competitive edge over other rivals. Vivo's sub-brand iQOO also plans to adopt a 7,000 mAh battery solution for its mid-range models next year.

In short, major brands like Realme, OPPO, Xiaomi, HONOR, and vivo are working hard to develop ultra-large capacity battery solutions. With the technological advancements that have been made, Realme is likely to be the first to launch a mobile phone with an 8,000 mAh battery.
