Along with the arrival of the Redmi Note 14 series for the international market, Xiaomi also confirmed some very interesting news for its future budget product.
Redmi Note 14 is supported for updates for up to 6 years.
Specifically, according to Xiaomi's Security Center, the base Redmi Note 14 model will be supported with security updates until March 1, 2031, a longer period than any other phone in the lineup. This is surprising because for the higher-end versions, the Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G will receive the update before January 1, 2029, while the Redmi Note 14 Pro 5G and Redmi Note 14 Pro will be updated before January 30 and January 15, 2029, respectively.
Additionally, the information also states that the Poco X7 will be supported for updates until January 30, 2029, and the Poco X7 Pro will receive the update before January 7 of the same year.
Something that even the higher end versions don't support.
As such, users can expect four years of security updates for most devices in the Redmi Note 14 series, with the base Redmi Note 14 model being the big exception as it can get up to six years of support.
