According to the latest rumors, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE and Galaxy Z Flip 6 FE will not use the Snapdragon 8 chip because it is too expensive.
This year, as planned, Samsung will continue to launch the successors of its foldable phones – Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6.
However, this year, there are rumors that the Korean technology "boss" will introduce another "more
affordable" foldable screen smartphone - Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE.

It is expected that this foldable screen FE - Fan Edition version can be launched around October 2024, the high-end Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 pair will be announced in July.
However, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE will have a lower price than its high-end "brother" at a starting price of 799 USD - equivalent to 19.9 million VND.
In other words, the product will be about 10 million lower than the starting price of the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 4 when launched.
Since foldable phones are expensive, the Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE could appeal to more potential buyers.
What's new in Galaxy Z FE?
In addition to rumors about the appearance of the Galaxy Z Fold 6 FE, there are also sources confirming that Samsung will launch another clamshell folding screen phone: Galaxy Z Flip 6 FE.

Accordingly, the two phones will be called "Galaxy Z Fold FE" and "Galaxy Z Flip FE". The Galaxy Z Flip FE will have 8GB of RAM, 256GB of internal memory and run on a weaker Snapdragon 7-series chip than the standard version.
This will disappoint many consumers as they do not come with a Snapdragon 8-series chip, at least the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.

It is likely that these upcoming phones will use Qualcomm's new Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 chip – a chip that promises special AI capabilities on the device.
In terms of specifications, the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 has 1 Prime Cortex-X4 core (up to 2.8 GHz), 4 cores clocked at 2.6 GHz, and 3 cores clocked at 1.9 GHz. In addition, the chip also has a Snapdragon X63 5G Modem supporting 3GPP Release 17 standard and Capture with Spectra 18-bit Triple Cognitive ISP (up to 200MP).
The report says the Galaxy Z Fold FE could also use Samsung's own Exynos 23 chip - not the Exynos 2200 or Exynos 2400. This is a mysterious chip that was reportedly canceled in 2023.
