Redmi Note 14 Series with better battery, IP68 water resistance, coming soon

Redmi Note 14 is coming with improved durability, bigger battery, and OLED display.

Redmi is reportedly working on the Redmi Note 14 series for its home market of China. With Redmi announcing the Note 13 series last September and the new Note 14 models receiving 3C certification, it seems likely that the Note 14 series will launch in the second half of this month.

Redmi CEO Wang Teng Thomas has been teasing the launch of the next generation of Note series phones. His recent Weibo posts have revealed information about the improvements expected to come to the Note 14 series.

In a Weibo post, Thomas confirmed that the new Redmi Note models will continue to have an IP68 rating. Last year's Redmi Note 13 Pro+ also came with an IP68-rated chassis, while the Note 13 Pro and Note 13 come with an IP54 rating.

So the top-end Note 14 Pro+ model will likely have an IP68-rated chassis, but it's unclear whether the Note 14 Pro will have the same rating.

In another Weibo post, Thomas claimed that like the new iPhone 16 series, the upcoming Note models will feature improvements in durability and battery life.

The Note 13 Pro has a 5,100mAh battery and supports 67W charging, while the 13 Pro+ comes with a slightly smaller 5,000mAh battery with 120W charging. It's likely that the brand will equip larger batteries on the Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ models.

According to recent reports, the Note 14 Pro and Note 14 Pro+ will feature a 1.5K 120Hz OLED display with curved edges and a 50-megapixel triple camera setup on the back. While the Pro model may feature the newly launched Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 chip, the Pro+ model may be powered by the Dimensity 7350 chip. One of these models may come with 90W fast charging.

According to 91mobiles, the Redmi Note 14 Pro was recently spotted on the BIS certification website, suggesting that the device could be launching in India soon. The design of the phone has now been leaked, giving a clear look at the back panel and a change in the camera module.

The Redmi Note 14 Pro render shared by TechBoilers shows that the camera module has been redesigned quite uniquely. The image shows that the camera is now in the middle instead of on the side like on the Redmi Note 13 series. The frame where the cameras are located is also slightly curved and rounded on both sides, not as sharp as before. This module is designed quite large on the back of the device with 3 cameras and a flash.

The render shows the power button and volume keys on the left side. The Redmi Note 14 Pro in this leaked render is black.
