Samsung can’t make the best or cheapest premium foldable phone. But now it has a cool rollable concept.

The public hasn’t fully embraced the foldable phone era yet. But fans can look forward to the rollable phone era soon. That’s the nature of technology — the latest innovations quickly become obsolete as soon as they’re officially released.

After 6 generations of foldable screen smartphones , Samsung has come up with the first rollable screen idea. This concept opens up expectations for rollable screen phones in the future.

Not long ago, Huawei introduced a three-fold screen phone for $ 3,000 (equivalent to 73.8 million VND). And Samsung is not far behind, having been interested in a rollable screen phone for many years.

It is still unclear whether the Korean tech giant will integrate rollable screens into future smartphones. However, the company's demonstration has caused a lot of excitement in the technology world, demonstrating a new breakthrough in screen technology.

The phone was launched in China, but judging by Huawei's teasers through global channels, it could be on its way to more markets. The phone is 12.8mm thick when folded - quite an achievement considering it's slightly thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold6 - a regular foldable phone.

With that in mind, creating a 10mm-thick tri-fold smartphone seems like an impossible task, since 12.8mm is already a huge feat of engineering. Maybe a 10mm-thin tri-fold smartphone will happen someday, but we can’t imagine it being “coming soon.”

However, Honor is proving to be a leader in conventional foldable smartphone design. The recently announced Magic V3 is the world's thinnest and lightest book-style foldable smartphone.
