Nokia 105 (2024) officially launched

HMD Global, the company behind Nokia-branded phones, has released a new version of its Nokia 105 (2024) feature phone.

This release is essentially a rebranded version of the HMD 105 that launched in early June but with the important addition of wired headphones included in the box.

The Nokia 105 (2024) sticks to the formula that made feature phones so popular: simplicity and reliability. It has a compact design with a 2-inch (120 x 160 pixels) display that's perfect for basic needs like calling and texting. Inside, users will find a modest 4MB of internal memory that can be expanded via a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB.

Despite its modest specs, the Nokia 105 (2024) boasts surprisingly long battery life. The 1000 mAh removable battery promises up to 18 days of standby time, making it a great choice for users who prioritize functionality over constant charging. Charging is handled via a microUSB port, and the 3.5mm headphone jack allows for easy connection to the included headphones or any other compatible headset.

The phone also has a solid build quality with a sturdy internal frame. Other features include an FM radio, MP3 player, LED flashlight, storage for up to 2,000 contacts, and the classic Snake game. It comes in Charcoal, Purple, or Blue.

One interesting difference from the HMD 105 is a slight drop in water resistance. The Nokia 105 (2024) has an IP52 rating, which means it's protected against dust and light splashes of water. This is a slight step down from the HMD 105's IP54 rating. However, the inclusion of headphones in the box may be a worthwhile trade-off for some users.

While the Nokia 105 (2024) doesn't offer internet connectivity or advanced smartphone features, it does cater to a specific niche. It's a phone built for essential communication, with a long-lasting battery and a durable design.

Nokia has launched its latest feature phone, which is essentially a refreshed version of the Nokia 105 4G.

The 2023 version of the Nokia 105 4G has a larger battery that promises longer usage time than its predecessor. The phone also supports Alipay and is currently available for pre-order at a price of 29 USD (680,000 VND).

Users have three color options with the Nokia 105 4G (2023).

Compared to the old Nokia 105 4G, the new version offers several upgrades, including a 42% increase in battery capacity to 1,450 mAh, expandable internal memory to 32 GB, Bluetooth 5.0 and support for Migu Music functions and the Himalayas. However, the voice broadcast function has been removed. Additionally, the phone now has a bold font on the buttons and is available in Black or Blue colors.

Despite the changes, the Nokia 105 4G (2023) retains the classic bar design and physical buttons, making it an ideal choice for senior users, students and those who need a backup phone . The phone allows quick access to Alipay by right-clicking or through the payment menu. Users can access QR code or barcode payments by clicking on “payment code”.

Nokia 105 4G (2023) supports dual dual SIM and full dual Netcom 4G, with dual nano-SIM card slots allowing dual dual SIM 4G to operate simultaneously. VoLTE HD voice calls are also supported making it a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable phone.

Other features of the Nokia 105 4G (2023) include an external wireless radio that can be played through speakers or without a headset. The phone has a built-in flashlight for use when needed. Of course, a legendary classic Nokia game like Snake is also pre-installed.

In terms of configuration, the Nokia 105 4G (2023) comes with the Unisoc T107 chip, making it a worthy successor to the original. The device will be shipped on April 28 and promises to become a popular choice for those looking for a reliable and affordable mobile phone.
