The top luxury car model of the German brand Mercedes-Benz S-Class has just received notable updates in its mid-life upgraded version.
The current generation of Mercedes-Benz S-Class launched in 2020 is one of the most modern car models on the market with technologies such as level 3 self-driving system (although limited areas of use). .
Therefore, the newly introduced mid-life updated version of the Mercedes-Benz S-Class only makes small improvements to maintain the car's competitiveness until the next generation.
Specifically, the Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2024 has new exterior paint colors: silver (Verde Silver) and metallic brown (Velvet Brown). Inside the cabin, the luxury sedan is now equipped with standard headrests for the front seats. The MBUX infotainment system has been upgraded, adding Sony Pictures Entertainment's IDEVU service. This system allows vehicle occupants to stream video entertainment (including a movie library) from the cabin, customers can also stream video content via YouTube.
Safety equipment on the Mercedes-Benz S-Class 2024 has an additional feature to remind the driver if they get out of the car and forget objects or there is still someone sitting in the back seat. In Europe, the S-Class also receives an Auto Lane Change function that is supported on certain routes, such as motorways and dual carriageways. Accordingly, the driver does not need to turn on the turn signal or use voice commands/hand gestures to control, but the car will automatically determine the space as well as the location of nearby vehicles to change lanes. Mercedes notes that all of these changes will also apply to the bulletproof version S 680 Guard.
In addition, the brand's Manufaktur premium customization program has been extended to the S-Class with 12 exclusive exterior paint colors.
This customization package also features many upgrades to the flagship sedan's interior including: walnut brown open-pore wood with aluminum lines or black piano lacquer with flowing lines. Nappa leather seats and cushions embroidered with the Mercedes logo are also available. Luxurious Nappa leather can also be applied to the dashboard, center console, armrests and doors.
Mercedes says the facelifted version of the S-Class will be available to order from the end of this month in Europe. The car price has not yet been announced.
